Parque Explora

Interactive science museum with large indoor and outdoor areas, located in the northern area of ​​Medellín, in front of the Botanical Garden, the North Park and diagonally to the Planetarium (which belongs to the Explora Park) and the University of Antioquia. Its 4 immense red boxes house various scientific activities for all audiences, the aquarium (which is one of the largest in South America) and a public experimentation workshop. 

The Park has more than 300 interactive experiences for the social appropriation of scientific and technological knowledge, becoming a reference for the city and the country, and a great attraction for the inhabitants of Medellín, Colombia and the world. 

Inaugurated in December 2007, Parque Explora has an easily accessible route through the Medellín Metro and its University Station, allowing hundreds of people to visit daily.  

Its designer was the architect Alejandro Echeverri, who created special spaces for exhibitions on topics such as neuroscience, music, time, life stories and the media.
